Universal cementing heads with a manifold are designed for wellheads connection in order to:
- tightly connect the casing string with the injection line from the cementing units by connecting it to the header manifold;
- preliminary place, fix and subsequently release separating cementing plugs and control parts for stepped and sleeve cementing devices;
- control flow direction of the buffer fluid, drilling and cement slurry in relation to the cementing and control parts of staged and sleeve cementing.
There are two types of heads – CHM and 2CHM. They differ in the number of cementing plugs loaded in them at the same time:
